#admins, Why is the old defunct line from Bamanhat to Golokganj junction via Sonahat, Pateshwari and Bhurungamari (all 3 now in Bangladesh) is showing up as a new line in the Atlas ? I believe it should be a defunct MG line shown in grey colour and as per my knowledge no new lines in the same route has been planned as of now.
Same goes for the New-Gitaldaha to Lalmonirhat line. The old Gitaldaha (india) to Mogalhat (now in Bangladesh) line is now defunct. Infact old Gitaldhaha is a defunct station now as well. I am not aware of any plans to renew these lines hence would request the #admins to correct the same in the atlas.
I am not sure how to tag the admins so if any kind soul can, please do :)

So finally got a chance today to cover the newly swarna upgraded Howrah - Ranchi Shatabdi Express. Most probably it was running on HOG (refer to the last pic where u can see LP and staffs are connecting something). Here are a few pic of the newly upgraded rake

1 - Shunter brought the rake of Shatabdi on pf 11 sharp at 5.15
Pic 2 - New TB of Shatabdi exp. It git this TB after it got it's rake upgraded under swarna project
Pic 3 - The old coach indicators cum TBs
Pic 4 - The interior of each coaches has been decorated magnificently. Paintings or pictures has been hung on the two sides of the door which highlights various tourist places of bengal or showcases various cultural aspects of bengal
Pic 5, 6 - Just two of such Pictures highlighting two tourist places of bengal, Bishop village and Shankarpur. Other pictures showcased Shantiniketan, Bishnupur, Lalmati, Tea Gardens of North bengal, etc
Pic 7,8,9 - Decorated and well designed interiors of the coaches. The vestibules are covered with a carpet and has been provided with a dustin which remains attched with the handle near the vestibule
Pic 10 - Finally it was 5.50 when white stallion of howrah came to take charge of his majesty
Pic 11 - In this pic, the LP and other staffs can be seen doing some sort of connection between the loco and EOG. Untill now the rear EOG was on but after sometime the rear EOG was switched off. Not sure if it was running on HOG or something else.

Some other features of this rake was tge fire alarm and well designed seats covers which i couldn't cover

LALGANJ (RAEBARELI): Union Minister for Railways and Coal Piyush Goyal has said that the process of manufacturing the first coach from the modern coach factory, Raebareili in the year 2011 was just a ‘dhong’ (eyewash) to befool the countrymen and was done keeping in mind the elections. He was on a day’s visit to this coach factory on Sunday, foundation stone of which was laid down in 2007.
“A small shed was made and some coaches were brought from outside and after doing some furnishing, it was claimed that they were manufactured here, ‘kya iss prakar factory lagti hai’ (is this the way a factory is established), questioned the minister after inspecting the entire factory for around an hour, on Sunday.
pains me to see that there are several machines which were procured in 2011-12 and 13 and have never been used, their quality is not up to the mark and I have ordered an inquiry to find out who all were responsible for procuring these substandard machines that were not used since year’s together”, said Goyal. He added that no one would be spared, be it any official or politician.
Goyal was talking to media after holding meeting with the senior officials of the factory and meeting representatives of the workers' union.
The Minister said that from its Inception in 2007 to 2011, almost no work was done in this high potential coach factory of the country. “It's very sad that since 2007 just one railway minister took effort to visit this factory but it is equally good to see that this year, the factory would be manufacturing 700 mordern coaches and the capacity of this plant would be doubled in the next financial year (around 1500) and in subsequent year the plant will manufacture 3000 modern coaches, as assured by me in the investor’s summit at Lucknow”, he said.
For enhancing the capacity of the factory, manpower would also be increased for which the factory authorities would be working out the needed strength and railway board would do the needful.
The minister also announced that an ancillary unit would be set up near the factory which will not only support the requirement of the factory but also produce employment for locals. “I will be meeting the chief minister and request for providing the land for the same”, he said.

उदयपुर। उत्तर-पश्चिम रेलवे के अजमेर मंडल ने अपने गंतव्य उदयपुर सिटी स्टेशन पर आकर खड़ी रहने वाली साप्ताहिक ट्रेनों के रेक का उपयोग करने की रूपरेखा बनाई है ताकि यात्रियों को अतिरिक्त ट्रेनों की सुविधा मिल और विभाग को कमाई हो। उदयपुर सिटी पर खत्म होकर पुन: यहां से संचालित तीन साप्ताहिक ट्रेन अनन्या एक्सप्रेस, न्यू जलपाईगुड़ी तथा शालीमार एक्सप्रेस के रेक उदयपुर में 50 से 70 घंटे तक खड़े रहते हैं। अब इन रेक का उपयोग जोधपुर, कोटा, अलवर, जयपुर, मथुरा तक किया जा सकता है। डीआरएम पुनीत चावला ने दैनिक नवज्योति को विशेष बातचीत में साप्ताहिक ट्रेनों के खाली रेक के उपयोेग के लिए आवश्यक विभागीय कवायद पूरी करने को कहा है। याद रहे, हाल ही शुरू हुई उदयपुर-मैसुरु हमसफर एक्सप्रेस का खाली रेक उदयपुर-दिल्ली के बीच संचालित किया जा रहा है। साप्ताहिक ट्रेनों के खाली रेक काम में लेने का गणित बैठ जाए तो उदयपुर सहित अन्य स्टेशनों...
को भी नई ट्रेनों की सौगात मिल सकती है। इसी के साथ
सिटी स्टेशन पर बन रहा प्लेटफार्म नं. 4 व 5 अगले माह तैयार हो जाएगा जिनका उपयोग साप्ताहिक ट्रेनों के संचालन में किया जा सकता है।
अनन्या एक्स. का रेक 45 घंटे अनुपयोगी
प्रति शनिवार तड़के 3 बजे उदयपुर सिटी पहुंच सोमवार मध्यरात्रि यहां से प्रस्थान करने वाली अनन्या एक्सप्रेस का रेक यहां 45 घंटे खड़ा रहता है। 6 घंटे मेंटीनेंस के घटा दें तो भी ये रेक 39 घंटे काम में आ सकता है। अनन्या एक्सप्रेस के खाली रेक का मार्च 2016 में उदयपुर-अलवर के बीच प्रायोगिक तौर पर उपयोग किया गया था। ट्रेन को उदयपुर से अलवर पहुंचने व लौटने में करीब 30 घंटे लगते हैं। अलवर स्टेशन इस ट्रेन को लेने के लिए तैयार भी है तथा इसकी टाइमिंग भी तय कर ली गई है। अनन्या एक्सप्रेस को अलवर तक चलाने के बाद भी 9 घंटे और बचते हैं। इसको अलवर के बाद मथुरा तक आसानी से ले जाया सकता हैं। इससे श्रीनाथजी दर्शन को नाथद्वारा आने वाले यात्रियों को भगवान श्रीकृष्ण की जन्म भूमि जाने की अतिरिक्त सुविधा मिल जाएगी।
न्यू जलपाईगुड़ी का रेक 68 घंटे अनुपयोगी
सिटी स्टेशन पर प्रति बुधवार सुबह 4 बजे आकर शनिवार मध्यरात्रि यहां से रवाना होने वाली न्यू जलपाईगुड़ी एक्सप्रेस का रेक 68 घंटे खाली रहता है। 6 घंटे मेंटीनेंस के घटा दें तो भी ये रेक 62 घंटे काम में आ सकता है। यह ट्रेन गुरुवार व शुक्रवार को उदयपुर सिटी स्टेशन या फिर देबारी पर खड़ी रहती है। इस ट्रेन को भी जोधपुर, कोटा, अलवर या जयपुर होते हुए दिल्ली तक चला सकते हैं।
शालीमार एक्सप्रेस का रेक 83 घंटे अनुपयोगी
शालीमार एक्सप्रेस मंगलवार सुबह 8.55 पर उदयपुर आने के बाद शुक्रवार रात 8 बजे पुन: शालीमार के लिए रवाना होती है। उदयपुर में इसका रेक सर्वाधिक 83 घंटे अनुपयोगी रहता है। 6 घंटे मेंटीनेंस के घटा दें तो भी ये रेक 77 घंटे काम में आ सकता है। इसका उपयोग दो ट्रिप के लिए भी किया जा सकता है।
अभी मथुरा-कोटा के लिए सिर्फ मेवाड़ एक्सप्रेस
उदयपुर से कोटा होकर मथुरा के लिए अभी सिर्फ मेवाड़ एक्सप्रेस ही चलती है। अधिकांशत: फुल चलने वाली इस ट्रेन में हमेशा बर्थ व सीट को लेकर मारामारी रहती है। मथुरा-कोटा के लिए एक अतिरिक्त ट्रेन चलती है तो यात्रियों को सहूलियत हो जाएगी।

उदयपुर में साप्ताहिक ट्रेनें अनन्या एक्सप्रेस, न्यू जलपाईगुड़ी व शालीमार एक्सप्रेस के खाली रेक को उपयोग में लाने पर विचार चल रहा है। पिछले साल हमने अनन्या का ट्रायल किया था। अब तीनों ट्रेनों का ट्रायल किया जाएगा। यात्रीभार मिलता है तथा टाइमिंग सेट हो जाता हे तो बात आगे बढ़ सकती है।
