Today (10:40)   Mumbai: Two new trains to woo north Indian voters

Nation Always Comes First*^~   96 news posts
Entry# 4198255   News Entry# 374077         Tags   Past Edits
Speaking at a rally in Rae Bareli on December 16 last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised a new train for commuters who travel between Mumbai and Rae Bareli.

AHEAD OF the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP-led central government is set to roll out a new Rajdhani Express on Central Railway (CR) to woo north Indian voters in Mumbai as well as in the Congress bastions of Rae Bareli and Amethi in Uttar Pradesh.
Further,

a new Rajdhani Express between Mumbai and Delhi, also on CR, will be flagged off before the code of conduct kicks. Sources said the new Rajdhani will be flagged-off by Union Railway Minister Piyush Goel on Republic Day.
Speaking at a rally in Rae Bareli on December 16 last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised a new train for commuters who travel between Mumbai and Rae Bareli. A senior Railway Board official said that to fulfil that promise, the Railways ministry has ordered a new train for Rae Bareli, which will also connect to Amethi.
Currently, two trains connect Rae Bareli to Mumbai. First is the Saket Express, which is divided at Pratapgarh junction, with half the coaches then headed for Rae Bareli and the other half to Faizabad junction. The ministry will now introduce a new rake that will be added to CR services and run from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Rae Bareli. The other train that connects Mumbai and Rae Bareli is the Udyog Nagri Express. A senior Railway Board member said the traffic on this route is high and a new train will be introduced in May to ease the pressure off the Udyog Nagri Express.
Meanwhile, a CR official said that the final trial for new Mumbai-Delhi Rajdhani will be conducted on January 16 and January 17. “By January 21, we expect to get approval from the commissioner of Railway Safety,” said an official.
The new Rajdhani Express will have 15 coaches and ply from CSMT every Saturday and Wednesday. It will depart from Hazrat Nizamuddin every Friday and Monday. The train will have eight halts — CSMT, Kalyan, Nasik, Jalgaon, Bhopal, Jhansi, Agra Cantt and Nizamuddin.

How far is this news correct. Not to take a political curve but "Is BJP trying vote bank politics ". As it has already been said that no trains can ply through dc lines due to underground fire.

First of all congratulations to all CR members for the New Year gift that they have received .
But there are few points :-
Point - 1
If TT of 22109/22110 has to be followed than what is need for Push/Pull trials and 120 MPS in IGP-ET section , when AC SF is already covering this section successfully at MPS of 110.Hence,proved that trials
...
and 120 MPS in IGP - ET section is currently of no use.
Point - 2
But can anybody tell what was the reason for changing the running day of CSMT - JBP GR ?
As already slot selected for CSMT RAJ is slow and is copy/paste of LTT-NZM AC which overtakes Jabalpur GR in every run.Even JBP GR has a lot of slack in BSL-KNW section and can cover delay upto 1.5 hrs in that section. So why there is a change in the running day of GR ..
Point - 3
Secunderabad Rajdhani and Chennai Garibrath are two legends who have faced the damage by slowing down by 5 mins ( they are now not running at Rajdhani slot or either duronto slot from BPL/HBJ).
When it was final that NZM arrival had to be after 10:00 Am at NZM then instead of changing timings of Secunderabad Rajdhani and Chennai Garibrath and instead of making a new slot it would have been better if CSMT RAJ have followed slot of Chennai/Secunderabad Duronto from HBJ..by following this duronto slot..Chennai garibrath and secunderabad Rajdhani could have been saved from slowing down for this CR RAJ.
I don't know why CR decided to make new slot at NZM by making the train arrive at 10:20 and making situation complicated by slowing down chennai GR and SC RAJ.Instead they could have simply followed the Duronto slot from HBJ...already they have made a slow TT.

And one more thing .
10 AM ke baad Hi Delhi lagana tha toh I would say Instead of changing slots of CHennai Garibrath And Secunderabad Rajdhani they could have taken Slot of Chennai duronto/Secunderabad duronto from HBJ.whicb is clone of rajdhani slot from Bhopal. Both of them could have been saved.bus timing jyada Ho jaata zara.about 10,15 mins more.
Or shift the timings of MAS garibrath and SC RAJ from source by 10mins and change the halt from Bhopal to Habibganj and put them of Duronto Slot .

Why did you congratulate only CR members, not others for getting this train?
Please tell if any specific reason.

They have really worked hard for getting this train in last few years + it’s going to benefit mostly CR passengers from Mumbai ,Nashik,Jalgaon and some interior parts of Maharashtra who wants to go to AGC,JHS and Delhi .

@all: At this time, the PNR Forum is functioning again, albeit at a greatly reduced volume and efficiency. Refreshing PNRs is a very cumbersome affair. We may expect this to end as well, eventually, as the Govt. tightens these controls further. At IRI, we CANNOT waste any more time on this fruitless...
