I like everything about this Rajdhani except the Jalgaon halt. It is pure politics. I have been opposed to it from the very beginning. Like the Durontos and other trains, it should have skipped Jalgaon and halted at Bhusaval. The latter is a divisional HQ, a big junction and has crew change facilities. Jalgaon might be a bigger town but is not big enough to warrant a Rajdhani halt.
Here is a post from Farhan Sheikh in FB:
"Farhan Shaikh: I have spent
2 years rigorously travelling between Mumbai and Jalgaon / Bhusawal....actually both the cities are well connected by road 24x7. People from JL always used to travel to BSL and take their respective trains which was not difficult at all.... But Politics have always won and will always win...."
I have personally experienced something similar having boarded trains from Mughalsarai when living in Varanasi. MGS is regarded as a satellite halt for Varanasi and people have no problem catching trains from there.
Now just to make this happen, the crew from BSL will be transported by car between Jalgaon and Bhusaval. How is it justified that the hardworking crew has to undergo this just for the JL halt? Sooner or later, BSL is going to show up as a tech halt and converted to commercial later. Also the JL halt has opened the door for others to follow - Manmad, Khandwa, Gwalior. So, how many of you would like to see this Rajdhani with 9 commercial halts? That is what I fear the most.
I have seen this happen all too often in the last 30 years. August Kranti Rajdhani started with TWO COMMERCIAL HALTS. Look where it is now. Hoping against hope my fear doesn't come true.

Bhai bhusawal se jo yatri hote hai aur jo figures hume dikhate hai darasal wo yatri 90% Jalgaon ke hote hai, jalgaon ke logon ko bhusawal jakar train pakadna padta hai, proper bhusawal ke yatri bas 10% hi hoti hai wo bhi short distance travel karte hai. IR main bahut si aisi stations jahan pe yatri na ke barabar hai wahan sab gaadiyon ko halt hota hai aur jaha sabse jya yatri hote hai waha trains halt nahi hota. Ye example lo BSL se bahot kaam yatri hote hai aur sabhi train yahan rukte hai aur JL se bahot hi jyada yatri hote hai wahan bas kuch hi train ko halt hai. Ye jo decision liya hai CR ne wo bahot hi accha hai aur sahi hai.

To phir baki trains such as Durontos and many other JL skip kyun karte hain? They stop at BSL which is a much bigger station and has crew change facilities.

So, how are these places less connected to Bhusaval? Are you ok with the crew getting down at JL and getting transported by car to BSL crew quarters just because JL people want to board the Rajdhani at their doorstep? And are you ok if MMR, KNW, GWL, TNA, .... now have a strong reason to claim a Raj halt so that, in future, this train ends up with 9-10 halts with 30-45 mts slowdown?

Mani sir ek aur example IGP pe durontos ko halt hai waha proper IGP ka ek bhi yatri yatra nahi karta hai, Nasik ke yatri IGP ya BSl ko jake train Board ya Deboard karte hai, ye mujhe mujhe malum hai ke Duronto ka rule kya hai par aisa halt kis kaam ka jahan passengers hi na ho..

Impossible. Maximum is Bza Kzj section can be upgraded to 130 kmph thats all that too it requires upgradation. Whereas other routes in Scr can never sustain speeds above 115 kmph.

@all: At this time, the PNR Forum is functioning again, albeit at a greatly reduced volume and efficiency. Refreshing PNRs is a very cumbersome affair. We may expect this to end as well, eventually, as the Govt. tightens these controls further. At IRI, we CANNOT waste any more time on this fruitless...

@all: The PNR Forum as we know it is OVER. The official website has unilaterally decided to thoroughly block and shut down all access to PNR info. There are some minor changes to the PNR Forum: 1. The main PNR feed will only show UN-predicted (by you) PNRs which are coming in. However, if there are replies, the PNR will show and will bubble to the top. Once you predict the PNR, it will go away from the main...
