Kendrapara railway stationbin new Haridaspur- Paradeep line under ECoR
There is a a present Cuttack-Paradeep line which is already operational.... is this new track Haridaspur-Paradeep line connects to that route at any point or is it completely a separate line?
That is completely a separate line. Line of meeting is Paradeep only
Once completed SRC-PRDP EXP can run via this route and there will be no loco reversal then, is it possible? But then it will loose Cuttack passengers is it?
Via this Haridaspur-Paradeep route what r the possible routes you think passenger trains can be runned by ECOR?
There is no reversal for SRC - PRDP
A weird situation.
EMDs aren't allowed in the Pamban Bridge. But,how's WDG-3A allowed?I just went through the mass of locos in a detailed chart available at IRFCA,the mass of WDG-3As is 123 tons, whereas the mass of WDP-4 is 119 tons and WDP-4B is 121.2 tons! Also checked whether WDG-3As haul only short rakes in the section, instead it actually is a link of the full 23 coacher Sethu Express and many other trains that is from the Rameswaram Island!
Is there any reason behind this?People who know this please put light on this :)
High Tractive Effort of EMDs is the reason.
Even WDG-3As have an T.E. of 40 T according to this RDSO Document, which is more than WDP-4.click here
I believe the EMDs do not meet the required clearance (height, width etc) for the Scherzer lifting span. For that reason, they may not be allowed onto the bridge.
Let me find out more about this.
Sir,but the height of EMDs is less than WDG-3Aclick here
-Heights of locos official IR document.
It seems like Width has been the issue,WDG-3A has 3016 mm width,WDP-4D has 3062 mm width. But it is just 6 cm extra sir,is that 6 cm the deciding factor?
