My trip report:
I travelled in this train on 25th march 2014. I reached Hatia station at 1305hrs and boarded the train which was already standing on platform 2. I kept my luggage and went to see the loco and the loco was twin WDM2. The train started bang on time and acceleration was good. The train maintained its speed and time till Chunar Jn. It reached Chunar 30 mins late. But after that the journey was worst journey of my train lourneys till now. It reached Allahabad at 8am (which is almost 3hrs 30 mins late) and reached Kanpur at 1220 hrs (which is 5 hrs late). It stopped at every intermediate station till Aligarh Jn. was Fatehpur and that too at a good speed. It reached Aligarh at 1810hrs and like the journey proceeded I thought I would miss my connecting train (Dehradun exp NZM to KOTA). But it maintained very good speed all the way to Anand Vihar Terminus and stopped only at Ghaziabad that also for 1 min or so. It reached Anand Vihar at 2030 hrs. Finally I was able to reach Nizamuddin at 2140hrs and was able to catch Dehradun exp in time.
CONCLUSION : The train ran right time almost till Chunar but in the Chunar - ANVT sector it was delayed by 6hrs 10 mins (excluding the 30 mins delay till Chunar). NCR is the worst in management of trains. For 24 hrs journey 2 hrs delay is acceptable but 6 hrs delay and that also daily, it is nothing but mistake on the part of controllers. NCR should learn from other busy zones on how to handle trains.
Jitni resources NCR ke pass hai agar use puri tarah istemaal liya jaaye to ye train delays apne aap kam hoti chali jaayengi.
Jo NCR ki wakalat karte hain main unse poochna chahunga ki " kya ab passengers ye bhi expect na karein wo apni connecting train aaram se pakad sake aur wo bhi 8-9 ghante ke buffer mein.? Ab kya NCR pass karne waale passengers ko 48 ghante ka buffer time rakhna chahiye apni connecting train ke liye?"
GOOD THINGS IN THIS TRIP:
1. Excellent acceleration and speed by twin WDM 2.
2. Good food
3. Clean train.
Agar delay itna nahi hota to shayad main is journey ko full marks deta lekin ab sirf 5/10.
