I have following questions:
1.How many 3AC coach does this train have?
2.I want to book tickets for myself and my parents in this train from Bhopal to Ahmedabad. It shows 6 seats still available. Will I get atleast one lower berth for my mother who is 48 years old. 4 berths are still available in lower berth quota but I understand it is given only for women traveling alone. If I select lower berth, is there any chance that I will get one lower berth from this quota for my mother.

I am asking this because, suppose I donot book now and wait for all confirmed tickets to get booked. As soon as it reaches RAC 1, I will book the 3 tickets. With this approach I am sure I would get all the 3 seats together when chart is prepared which looks doubtful if I book now with only 6 available seats. Well you cannot be sure that if you book in RAC, you would be allotted seats together. It can so happen that you may be allotted seats away from each oher when it confirms. Therefore it would be advised to books seats when they are available...
Well I have mostly seen that during chart preparation empty berth from other quota like EQ, Handicapped, etc are given to general pass. They mostly get seats together good seats like lower berth.
wating for RAC and letting go the 'available' berths seems good strategy. But to have a bird in hand is better than two in bush. waiting for RAC is like 'birds in bush'
