Stretch from Kulti to Dhanbad meant traversing the tracks through the gradients of Thapar Nagar - Pradhakhunta Junction Stretch and designing a bridge over the Barakar River. Later, the ghat section between Parasnath and Paharpur via Nath Ganj - Gujhandi - Dilwa - Gurpa Section was a greater challenge for the work force as they had to face creatures like mosquitoes and pythons in the Dhanua - Manua Forest Belt.
