One can get auto service from just outside Tapri Junction to get to Saharanpur station. Road condition was not very good when I used this service last year to get to Saharanpur station. Time the auto took to reach the station, so far as I remember, was about 1 hour.
outsiders must avoid this station.Its very poorly connected with SRE city.
if you are catching train from there you will easily get a auto to drop there but not when you are reaching there at Tapri. simply avoid in Night time
simply avoid if you are travelling with Family and no one is there to pick you up.

My post is based on my personal experience of reaching Tapri Jn in the morning from Haridwar Jn in 12056 Dehradun New Delhi Jan Shatabdi Express. I was to reach Saharanpur Jn from there. I walked out to find many autos one of which I hired to get to Saharanpur in time. Although I cannot say whether the same facility iis available at night or not.
