Can someone tell me the structure to the right of the picture,what was it used for or the intended use? Was it built for some sort of a sky bus service?
Righto. That was built as a track to test run the Skybus almost a decade ago.But soon after the trials begun, an accident took place at the site putting the whole project off track. Now the entire structure is getting ready to be sold as scrap.
Well,that finished as soon as it started.Pretty tragic and getting sold as scrap :O Wonder what would be the state of the company that got the contract. :D

The Konkan Railways were the brains behind this and they offered to build it themselves with the aid of GoI and GoG. No pvt companies were involved AFAIK.
