hi guys. i travelled on the inaugural run of train no. 11081 LTT- GORAKHPUR EXP upto varanasi on 18/02/2015. as it was the first run of this train i was expecting new coaches for the rake. but to my surprise thefull rake consisited of old coaches. the 2AC coach i was travelling in was of the year1993 ( 22 years old). the upholstry was worn out & the bedsheets & pillow covers given were not washed properly. the toilets did not have hooks on the door ( inside ). the soap dispenser was empty & the taps in toikets wre leaking continuously. now the punctuality part. the train started on time from LTT ( 15. 50PM ) & REACHED BHUSAWAL in a... more...
respectable 6hrs 40 min. i.e 22. 30 hrs ( 426 kms @ 65km per hour avg speed ). surprisingly the run from Bhusawal to Khandwa ( 125 kms approx ) is given a running time of 3hrs 30 min ( avg 37 kms per hr ). but the train reached KNW JN at 01. 00 hrs ( full 1 hr before time ). this scenario continued till mirza pur where also the train reached half an hr before time i.e 18. 25 hrs. but from Mirza pur to Varanasi was a horrible 4 hrs journey which should normally have been covered in 2 hrs. The train ultimately reached Varanasi 1 1/2 hrs late.
