Yesterday 03.03.2015,i travel from ALIYAR ARIVU THIRUKOVIL ( Pollachi Taluk in Coimbatore district ) to Kovilpatti.Aliyar to Pollachi by bus.
.I take a ticket from Pollachi to Kovilpatti S/F Senior Citizen 279 km ( Rs 75 ) .I catch Pollachi-Palani-Dindugal-Chennai Central Exp at 16.45 evening.Train starts at 16.45.00 promptly and arrive Dindugal at 19.25 .Then i catch 16339 Mumbai-Nagercoil EXP at 20.00 and arrive Madurai at 21.00.Madurai dep 21.45,arrive Thirupparankundram 21.55 stopped for 45 minutes for crossing but no commercial stoppages ,Then arrive Thirumangalam 22.55 ,stopped for 20 minutes which has also no commercial stoppages Municipality.Finally arrive Kovilpatti at 01.10 am ( scheduled arrival time of Kovilpatti 23.05 ) of the next day .The journey time from Madurai to...

Kovilpatti of distance 91 km is 4 hours 10 minute at an average speed of 21.8 km per hour.
I noticed that All the southern district people in this train are panic in reaching their home in this odd hour after Madurai.
