Sri Kalahasti is one important pilgrimage destination, which attracts people from all over the country.
SriKalaHasti name comes from the story of three important devotees to the God here (Shiva in the form of Vayu Linga and is called as SriKalahatiswara Swamy). This town is just 50 kms away to the east of The most famous Tirupathi City.
So piligirms visiting Tirupati can do a half day trip to Sri Kalahasti if time permits.
This temple is also famous for Rahu Ketu Pooja, Dosha Nivaraana, Nava Graha Pooja's etc.. And is only one such temple in South India which performs such poojas on regular basis. Lot of people throng in to perform their own Shanti pooja's here every day fro mall over south India, including some Celebrities occasionally. Few of them are Nisha Kothari, Krish Srikkanth, Siddharth etc...
