My First Visit to Kurla Terminus, popularly known as Lokmanya Tilak Terminus. #TRAINSPOTTER
================================================== ====
It's just over an year since i made the visit in the month of April'14.I was coming back from Ahmedabad and heading back to Rajahmundry with my tickets booked in 17222 and it was such a relief as we were approaching Mumbai because the whole of India was under an intense 'Heat Wave' but there was a low pressure area hovering around Western Coastal Maharashtra due to which there was rain all around. So without wasting any time, lemme present
you some of the snaps i took under the overcast weather.
Pic 1 - A view of Platform no. 4 along with 17221 which just arrived on Platform no.3.Looking towards Santa Cruz-Chembur link road.
Pic 2 - One more shot of Platform no.4 along with 17221.LTT-Kakinada is waiting for a loco link.Looking towards Vidyavihar and Ghatkopar.
Pic 3 - 12293 resting in the yard and a view of Platform no.5.Looking towards Vidyavihar.
Pic 4 - F.O.B view of the vast yard @ L.T.T.It was raining considerably on that day and after suffering so much due to the heat,i wasn't complaining one bit. :D
Pic 5 - One more shot taken from F.O.B,the canopy of L.T.T is pretty evident on the left with a view of S.Cruz-Chembur link road in the rain.
The train that's resting on Platform no.3 is LTT-Kakinada Express.
Pic 6 - 16345 LTT-Trivandrum Netravati Express on Platform no.1,all set for it's long journey back home.
Pic 7 - A wide angle shot taken from the F.O.B with 16345 to the right and 22104 Faizabad - LTT making it's way onto Platform no.4.
Pic 8 - Now the station looks a bit more occupied with trains 22104,17222 and 16345 occupying platform 4,3,1 respectively.(R to L)
Pic 9 - As you can notice 16345 has just begun it's journey and is carving out of LTT,22104 Faizabad is all berthed on Platform 4 and finally
the loco link arrives for 17222.
Pic 10 - 12293 LTT-Allahabad Duranto being shunted back into the yard,a much clearer shot while people approach the exit after deboarding 22104.
Pic 11 - The weather started to clear just a bit.The shot taken from my coach.22884 Itarsi WAP-4 doing the honours this time around for 22104.
Notice 12117 LTT-Manmad Godavari Express resting in the yard to the left.
Pic 12 - A view of 12117 and Platform no.4 and 5 @ LTT.For a change,love a different livery.
Pic 13 - 17222 Carving out of LTT.Love the Shunters of Kurla with their yellow body and green trimmings.Truly stand out in the crowd.
Pic 14 - 22884 Itarsi WAP-4 watches us over as we bid adieu to LTT.Wish the sky was clear, would have given a much better shot of the LTT Station Board image.
Pic 15 - A view of the yard from the outer with WAP-4 Itarsi and the beautiful WDS shunter of Kurla standing out.
Pic 16 - The rake on the right is of 22104 Faizabad-LTT.The following image will show you how it's taking a shower.
Pic 17 - For a change, love the way I.R did a prompt cleaning job of 22104 as soon as it was taken out of the platform. You can notice the machine that's used for
the job.
Pic 18 - I have fallen in love with WDS shunters from Kurla. The best looking shunters around and they must be the cleanest as well, going by the showers they take.
Pic 19 - The staff is busy working,it's business as usual for them irrespective of the climate. The lank bank @ LTT is impressive judging by the pic.
