Today i had send my 2 friends on 11019 dn konark express at 3PM from cstm from PF no:14.
Few queries about this train.

don`t think thers any special reason...usually somtimes it also depends on platform length..luguage loading facilities etc..but don`t think thats the case with cstm
abt arriving late on platform...may b its pair/rsa was running late always..cud b not sure

Only platform no 14-18 of cstm can accomodate 22-coach train......hence may be 14 is used for departure....
This train has been leaving from Platform 14 since many years. Infact, I remember it departing from platform 14 way back in 1998 also.
if the train has been leaving from pf no 14 for some years it is well and good . there is no confusion people can arrive at the pf in advance and board the train.
I guess ur right, this cud be one reason that it's very lenghty train, therefore it can accomodate on PF 14 or 15, whereas other PF may not, considering the destination as well.
