OBSERVATIONS ON CONNECTIVITY OF RAILWAYS IN ALWAR
At Present...
ADVANTAGE / BENEFIT
a) Alwar is getting trains basically due to Jaipur.
DISADVANTAGES / LOSS
a)
...
MTJ AWR line constructed by NCR. But since it got operational, only a single express ALD JP express is running via this route and main reason behind this is non-connectivity of AWR MTJ line with Mathura Kasganj new line.Train coming from Alwar side on Mathrua Station can go only to downside i.e. Agra / Achnera. Even loco reversal not possible at MTJ if a train comes from Alwar n have to go to Kasganj / Kanpur / Lucknow and so on. So trains are getting Bandikui Achnera Mathura Kasganj route like JP KYQ Kavi Guru Express / JP LJN NER Express nd some other trains. These trains might run via Alwar if NCR do some work at MTJ Station for connecting AWR MTJ line and MTJ Kasganj Line so that loco reversal can take place at MTJ (loco reversal is also required at Achnera station for trains using Bandikui Achnera Mathura route) or a bypass line can be contructed joining AWR MTJ line and MTJ Kasganj line by Skipping Mathura Junction.
b) After guage conversion of Bandikui Bharatpur Achnera Agra Line, most of the trains going towards east / central / NE India which got originated from big stations of Rajasthan are using this route. Due to this, there is still not a single direct train is available from Alwar to Kolkata/Bhubaneswar/Puri/Patna/Varanasi/Guwahati/R anchi/Tatanagar/Raipur/Bilaspur/Bhopal/Indore.
c) Geographical location of Alwar is also very disadvantageous in the context of railway connectivity. The locations / railway connectivity of all big stations of Rajasthan like Jaipur / Ajmer / Jodhpur etc is like that the trains originating from these stations are not needed to run via Alwar or some trains which can run via alwar are taking other routes. And the adverse impact of the same is that, still no direct train from Alwar to South Indian States / Central n East Maharashtra / MP / Chattisgarh / WB / Odisha.
d) Earlier trains from Delhi to Rajasthan/Gujrat were getting rewari alwar Jaipur route. But after the guage conversion of rewari sadulpur/phulera line, alwar is being skipped by most of the trains started recently. Reason might be to provide railway connectivity to other stations like Mahendergarh, Loharu, Sadulpur etc but even Howrah Jaisalmer Express is taking rewari sadulpur route when there is no direct train from Alwar to Kolkata. Both of these routes are short routes from Delhi thats why railway is using these but connectivity also matters.
In Future..
ADVANTAGES / BENEFITS
a) Electification of MTJ AWR RE HSR route. In future some trains originating from Bathinda / Firozpur /Amritsar / Hisar / Jammu going towards east / central / south india may use this route.
b) Dausa Gangapur new line which is under construction may give some benefit to alwar as this line will be a substitute of highly congested NDLS MTJ SWM line. Hence, some Mumbai / South India bound trains might use NDLS AWR DO GGC SWM route in future.
c) Proposed Delhi Alwar via Firozpur Jhirka, Nuh new railway line. If this line really came into existence in future, it will benefit alwar a lot as this will also be a substitute of NDLS MTJ SWM line.
d) Electrification of delhi rewari line will benefit alwar also. As this will become a substitute of Delhi Mathura line. Some trains with electric locos can use DLI RE AWR MTJ route.
DISADVANTAGES /LOSS
a) Guage conversion of Ringus Jaipur MG line. Will become a new connection between DLI JP. Hence, some Ahmedabad bound trains in future will take this route but loco reversal will be required at JP which will discourage usage of new route of rewari ringus jaipur for premium / superfast trains.
b) Proposed rewari palwal new rail line. Some trains originating from north india bound for south / east/ central india may use this route by skipping delhi. Again, a train which can run via Alwar will be using some other route.
NOW SOME OBSERVATIONS ON ALWAR JUNCTION
Two PFs is the biggest problem of this station. Might be due to this delhi rewari local trains are not being extended to alwar and new DEMUs from Delhi are not getting started. Plans are there for extension of alwar junction from 2 to 5 PFs. Then new local / DEMU trains for delhi can get started from alwar. Also, some express trains for big cities of rajasthan might be started from alwar junction. As far as EMUs between alwar delhi is concerned, that can be possible only after electrification of Delhi Rewari route.

For originating of trains from Alwar, pit lines have to be constructed for maintenance and care of rake and the whole station will require much more area which is actually not possible. PF 2 ki side railway buildings hain jinko todkar station ko naye PF's milenge. But pit lines banaane ke liye peechhe ke residential apartments and that main road going towards NEB bhi occupy hoga which is not possible. Plus Alka Puri se naya overbridge kaa construction bhi chal rha hai jo pitlines banane mein aur unko main line se connect karne main jo line dalegi unko banane mein bahut zyaada problem create karega. But subzi mandi side jageh hai but the thing is ki vo land railways ke paas nhi hai aur mujhe railways ke dwaara land aquisition ke baare mein kuchh nhi pata. So jo naye platforms construct honge they are not going to be much broader but...

less broad like those in Bandikui.

And the bypass that you proposed joining MTJ AWR line to MTJ KSJ line is very problematic. An overbridge might be a better option.

Rajvat ground near alwar station having lot of open blank area. Railways can acquire that area nd can construct pit lines there. Only 2-3 pit lines are enough.

Wish that happens
Even for the future there is enough space to build as many pit lines as you want
