Here is IR's newest section. The last section of SBC-MYS doubling completed with the completion of this station and 6 bridges.

Srirangapatna is an island town. It is surrounded by River Kaveri.
In this combo of pics you can see how this station is constructed in the available small portion of land.

SBC side when you go, you first encounter the Kaveri North bridges...... Then as soon as it ends you get a LC..... then immediately the 2 PFs start (no mainline or loopline)..... then just when the PFs end, Kaveri South bridges are there..... as soon as that ends... just a small strip of land..... then Paschimavahini (a branch of the river) bridges are present.

Also to add. Work was on at SSP-Byadarahalli. MYS all work seems to have been done. But still saw lot of workers busy with some final work for electrification like - the connecting vertical wires b/w the 2 cantenary wires was being tightened, with hand (!!??).

Also seen is Mini Vidhana Soudha from the train at RMGM. And a new member of Bleed Blue.
