Monday arrivals at NZM are very often delayed by up to an hour due to unscheduled holdups between BVH and OKA, and occasionally awaiting the home signal at NZM. This happens in spite of the train being on time or even early to arrive at BVH.

Usually, when this happens, the train makes small halts at TKD and OKA. These can be useful for folks bound for east/south Delhi, Noida, or Ghaziabad, who might be able to avoid the morning rush by deboarding at TKD or OKA.

Every time this happens, I've seen that other trains bound for Nizamuddin but not terminating there (e. g. Grand Trunk Express) are let through. My hunch would be the shortage of free platforms at Nizamuddin. Maybe the opening of platforms 8 and 9 will fix it.
