I know it originates from CSMT but its official name over Northern Zone is Dadar Express and never Pathankot hence name Pathankot should be removed. I tried to remove but got trapped in a lot of controversies. Pathankot express was never its official name, its just a misconception created by India Rail Info which I just tried to rectify.

After the rail link to Pathankot was opened in the 1950's, this train used to go to Pathankot via Amritsar. The service was curtailed to Amritsar a few years later, but in CR territory it was called the Pathankot express for a very long time. This was not just an unofficial name or a common name, but many railway documents and accident reports also called it the "Pathankot express".

But as of now it is not announced as Pathankot Express anywhere! But Name Dadar is still used in Official Railway timetables and announcements in Northern Raikways. Hence it should be considered. I don’t know who removed Dadar from its name, who so ever did that I’m against that person as they can’t decide name of the train it is Railway who does. Hence Dadar Should be considered.
