Train:-15-99620 Kharkopar-Nerul Slow.
Rake:-1203-1205-1204-1202.
From:-KARP to NEU.

After getting off from kasara – csmt local. We rushed towards the pf:-9, as we had very less time to change the platform. We reached Thane at 19:10. We had 7 mins to change the platform, fill our water bottles. Take some snacks from the platform.

Our Panvel bound emu standing at thane pf: 9, we reach our coach in time filling our water bottle, taking snacks also. Departed thane at 19:14. There was a parallel departure with LTT – hubli. We overtook the hubli express near the thane creek, kyn Shakti was hauling it couldn’t see the number; There was a tsr placed of 20 km/hr. just before airoli at 19:22 , as we were heading pnvl during the peak time and many corporate office and call centres were there we had expected the fc coach also to get full. The general coach was full from thane itself. After crossing rabale i called up Railfan jaideep to ask whether he was free and he could meet us at Panvel. He agreed and told ill meet you all at Panvel station. Later himanshu updated about the status of the trip on whatsapp group. And Parth was standing near the door. I Sahil & Rajesh was filing our stomach. We reached juinagar at 19:40. We were made to wait at the station as pnvl – thane was entering the station. Departed juinagar and a 10 km/hr. crossover to pnvl line. Sameer a Railfan from kharghar ping up on Parth cell and told hell join us from kharghar to Panvel and return. So we had one more company for a short journey. We reached kharghar at 19:54. The run on THB (Trans harbour line) is definitely worth experience between CBD belapur to kharghar. Sameer joined us for our further journey; we reached Pnvl at 20:06. And on mainline platform Sabarmati ( sbi ) wdp4d 40550 with 12449/Goa Sampark Kranti Express was arriving. Jaideep came and meet us. We had a small talk with him, after which we caught the same local for seawood darav to catch the local for kharkopar. The same rake was going back to thane. We click few pictures with jaideep, also the station board picture.

We departed from panvel at 20:19. The FC in reverse direction was full empty; it was just 6 of us in entire coach. During the neutral section between Cbd belapur & seawood we all captured the OLD dc light that glows inside the coach
Few pic taken :- ( pic attached )

We reached seawood by 20:38. And now we were waiting for our kharkopar bound local which will come from nerul. We deiced to get off the seawoods because there was very less timing in changing the train at nerul. Our kharkopar bound local arrived seawood at 20:45. 1202-1203 was recently painted in bombardier livery

We boarded our local. There were few seats occupied by the locals. And then the superb Siemens local acceleration. We crossed the Panvel creek bridge around mps of 80 km/hr. The cold breeze flowing made it feels very cold. Skipped targhar station which is under construction. We reached Bamandongri at 20:57, and nearly the coach got empty and again we 6 were left alone in the coach. Reached kharkopar at 21:05. We went to the other end of the rake, took out photo of the local , the kharkopar station looked like a haunted station, as there was no one other than just 6 of us on entire station.

We this time decided to boarded the second class as more then halt the train was empty. Departed from kharkopar at 9:15 Reached Bamandongri at 9:19 , then we all went to the door to the pic of navi Mumbai Municipal building picture.
Reached nerul at 9:32. And as soon as all De- boarded the local , the lights were put off and the rake departed for the yard within 3 mins. It looked like MM sir was a bit in hurry to finish the duty and go back home.
We were waiting for our CST bound local so that we could complete our entire central railway stretch . only missing was Thane – CST which could not be completed by us , but rajesh did that in morning before he joined us from thane.

The last phase in next report.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
