If i remember correctly now, December was the target to join Bankura-Masagram line to HBC line at Masagram by a temporary crossing. What is the status of that work? Everybody is quite now, local MP, MLA, etc. When we can expect Howrah-Bankura Exp via Masagram???

I have heard from a railway employee, 1 Intercity express train from HWH to BQA via VSU-TAK route is planned by ER initially 1 train if get passenger maybe another in future. 4 Howrah bound EMU trains will initially get extended from Goghat/TAK to VSU.
BQA MSAE is unlikely to have freight traffic in future. It's only a passenger line at present. If some Agro based Industry pops up requiring railway siding, then that's a different case. Tender for loops and EI at both these stations are final and should be completed within a year. After Anara MEMU Carshed Phase 1 is commissioned by 2023 end, we can expect more MEMUs in that section.
That's even less than the tip of iceberg. There will be burst of commuters crowd specially from PRR, BQA side due to significant reduction in travel time.
That section holds back to back tourist spots unlike other sections. EMUs will get packed by Bishnupur, Joypur, Joyrambati, Kamarpukur itself.
Wait there is more. It will be an alternative to Grand Chord between Howrah and Gomoh. Just 8 kms longer as per estimates.

Don't expect any new express train from Adra Division unless there is huge political pressure Adra division will not run. ER is a passenger friendly zone, only ER can run that too after connection with HBC when done.
Adra could have by now runned a Intercity express from Purulia to Masagram atleast 5 days a week and can do PM of rake at Adra on SAT, SUN. But SER have no interest. But after BQA-MSAE route gets connected to HBC, SER will run goods train via that route as this line in future will be connector with EDFC with SER. SER is doing FLS for a flyover at Bankura for direct connectivity from KGP end to BQA-MSAE route, this flyover...
