Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL) is exploring the feasibility of operating light trams in Kochi. services. The route is deemed suitable for a light tram network based on preliminary assessments. The light tram service is envisioned as a feeder loop line for the Kochi metro, improving connectivity and patronage. The trams will also link the M.G. Road metro station with the Water Metro ferry terminal near the High Court. Each three-coach light tram can accommodate up to 240 passengers. These electric-hybrid trams can be fully recharged in just six minutes and are designed to be accessible for differently abled individuals. The cost of implementing a light tram network is significantly lower than a conventional metro rail system, estimated to be around one-fourth. Local manufacturing of the coaches could further reduce costs. The service is projected to enhance patronage for the existing Kochi metro network, including the Aluva-M.G. Road-Thripunithura phase-one corridor and the proposed Kakkanad extension. Feasibility studies are also being considered for similar light tram services in Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode.

baat ki hai jo light trams services mein expert hai. Preliminary assessment ke baad, yeh route light tram network ke liye suitable dikha gaya hai. Light tram service ko Kochi metro ka feeder loop line banaya jaayega jisse connectivity aur patronage badhega. Tram M.G. Road metro station ko High Court ke paas Water Metro ferry terminal se connect karega. Har ek three-coach light tram 240 passengers ko carry kar sakta hai. Yeh electric-hybrid trams six minutes mein fully recharge ho jaate hain aur differently abled individuals ke liye accessible hain. Light tram network banane ka kharcha conventional metro rail system se kaafi kam hai, lagabhag one-fourth. Agar coaches India mein banaye jaayen to kharcha aur bhi kam ho sakta hai. Yeh service Kochi metro ki patronage badhayega, jismein Aluva-M.G. Road-Thripunithura phase-one corridor aur proposed Kakkanad extension bhi shamil hai. Thiruvananthapuram aur Kozhikode mein bhi aise light tram services ke feasibility study ki jaa rahi hai.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
