Agreed, but the point here mentioned in this article is that many people are preferring Udyan and 11013/4 for intermediate stations like Raichur, Kalaburagi, Wadi, etc. so reducing their 1 or 2 stoppages might draw a strong opposition from the daily travelling public.
Best introducing a new SF or SL VB with minimum stoppage and less slack for these 3 cities will definitely prove useful and now that UBL MRJ section is on verge of completion of electrification we have an alternative to Solapur route although slower in PUNE MRJ section but still a triweekly or daily for SBC/CBE via MRJ can be tried with aggressive TT.
