My First ever only Rail Fanning session at Borivali on account of 160th Anniversary of railways.

This was the day when first ever train was run on the soil of India. What could be a better day to start my official rail fanning?

more... usual, I was surfing the net and following IRI and FB about the Dahanu-Churchgate Local until 11:00 AM. All of a sudden I had to go to bank for some work at about 11:45 Am
I started home at 11:45 and as soon as I left home, my mind changed. All of a sudden, I decided to go to Railway station to catch a grab of Dahanu-Churchgate local and the Political part of it.
I told the auto rickshawala to take to the railway station. He dropped me at the station. It was noon when i reached station. i was running fast so that I don’t miss the local. I quickly rushed to platform no 5 south end which is usually less crowded. Ideally, A proper place to take pictures of the new train. As per TT, it was supposed to arrive at BVI somewhere by noon. However, there was no sign of it on the station. 5-6 police officers with their AK47's were standing at the place which i choose to capture pictures. Was a bit worried as this being my first RF and hope I am not caught of taking photos illegally. But no sooner, I see some Political Activists with flags and bouquets arrive from the south end subway and start shouting ""Bhartiya Janta Partycha Vijay ho Vijay ho"". They do it for about 2-3 times and become silent. Then they enquire with the RDF and other railway staff who are also waiting for the train. They get to know that train is yet to reach Saphale and will take about 45 mins to reach borivali. They then move ahead a bit and stand near the newspaper wala (god knows why they selected the newspaperwala). In the mean time, a Fast honking Wappie passes by with great speed. Its BRC Shed WAP 4E 22674 with an Inspection train.
Soon after that arrives the Taste of India.
This Time its BRC Shed WAP 5 30051 painted red with AMUL towing the equally great Ahmadabad Mumbai central Double Decker Express
It stops for about five minutes where most of the PAX get down and search for coolie's or staircase or some relatives or the a train to reach their places.
BRC Shed WAP 5 30051 painted red with AMUL then departs. In the mean time GZB Shed WAP 7 30293 Arrives on platform 6 with 24 coach Paschim Express. Halts for some time and departs along with DD Express
Misunderstanding starts here.
There are locals coming in and with each local coming in BJP starts shouting ""Bhartiya Janta Partycha Vijay ho Vijay ho""
Thinking that this is the Dahanu local and soon the local comes near someone let them know that this is not the Dahanu local. They again become silent this continues for about 4 trains. Now suddenly there is big silence as if they came to know that Dahanu local was terminated at Virar (LOL). 2-3 mins pass by and then all of a sudden we see the beautifully decorated ICF MFD AC EMU 4029-4030 Arrive honking and come to a standstill. BJP starts shouting Dahanu Local Aayi Dahanu Local Aayi. Ram Naik Tum Aage badho Hum tumhare saath hai. ""Bhartiya Janta Partycha vijay ho vijay ho""
My eyes see Ram Naik Standing on the door of the second Coach of the train. As soon as he gets down, he is greeted with boquet and garlands. Now I came to know why the BJP Guys and women stand near that newspaperwala because that newspaperwala is just opposite to the second coach of an EMU. By The way, the beautifully decorated ICF MFD AC EMU 4029-4030 departs after halting for a brief 20 secs.
New Center of Attraction.
Now the entire center of attraction is Ram Naik. He is being greeted with garlands and bouquets from the Coolie people, BJP people and other dignitaries present. I realize that the train has departed Borivali so I also decide to depart instead of wasting any more time and getting back to my work.
Overall, I enjoyed a lot during my First ever-official Railfanning session……..
