Trip Report: 17th Sept 2013
After 20 days class and 2 days rest at Chennai it was time to return. Onam time decided that I wont get reservation in night trains so decided to opt for Brindavan while my relatives said a Railfan needs to travel by Double decker once just for experience- so at last got booked by 22625 DD
A1 Deluxe didnt allow me to wait and at 6:55AM i was dropped at Chennai Central. entered into the station where Pf-3 had a WDM7 at end after bringing in the 12639...
more... Brindavan from yard. WAP4 was on Pf-5 with arrived rake of GT Express. WDM-7 waited at PF-1 after bringing in the DD from yard
C1 was coach so no need to walk- coach was 70% filled up by chart- seat No. 65 was allotted in the middle deck so a normal journey thought to myself- 66 was put as vacant and the 2 seater was for me
Settled in my seat and as it was 7:05 went to have a look at the loco- WAP7 30358 was the link from RPm while another WAP7 waited with Brindavan on Pf-3- at the entrance a WAP4 curved through the points searching for a platform as announcement went that 16042 from Allepey was entering into PF-4
Went back and boarded my coach a normal seat-Around 7:23 a father and daughter walked onto the platform suddenly looking back to find another person not following them- Father asked daughter to wait while he went back and daughter stayed seated- my co-passenger of C-1 pointer her something as he hopped to board the train the girl seeing pale- The guard had shown the green and train started proceeding as the father came back my coach the last one had moved away
chugged past the points at BBQ crossing the yard picking speed- just after BBQ signal showed red and WAP4 awaited for entry with the 12686 MAQ-MAS Superfast. Our speed went upto 90kmph and stayed consistently in process crossing a Fast Local bound to Chennai which was on the Express track. Our speed was slowed at hindu college most likely the 66015 MEMU to tirupati blocking us ahead- same thing ahead before tiruvallur as we proceeded past the points at tiruvallur to change tracks now becoming 2 from 4
As we exited Twin WAG7 of BZA awaited at the signal for proceeding once we clear- Next behind was a Chennai Central bound EMU while a Lallaguda WAP4 awaited at the next with the overcrowded 16090 Yelagiri Express from Jolarpettai. at Egattur the tirupati bound MEMU was sided while we accelerated. At Tiruvalangadu Howrah WAP4 showed up as it hauled the weekly 15901 Yeshvantapur-dibrugarh town Express towards chennai. We reached Arakkonam at 8:30AM where WAP7 30333 of Royapuram welcomed us with a horn as it awaited departure with the 12696 Express from Trivandrum to Chennai
To be contd....
