An off-beat location, sheer delight for railfans

Palasdhari is a small, but a very scenic station and an ideal spot for railfanning. It is a RF paradise and absence of RPF and people make it even better. The place is heaven in monsoons with greenery and waterfalls around.

Yes, small hillocks around station for aerial shots the one Harris has taken in Entry 932981
Soumiz one small correction , there are Locals upto Khopoli so no need to walk From Karjat to PDI , One needs to board Khopoli Local ( less Frequent from CSTM / more frequent from Karjat) and directly get down at PDI and start trekking.
One more correction: "Three lines converge at Palasdhari, the Karjat-Lonavala Mainline (Triple, NOT just Double) and single electrified track to Khopoli"
One more to add in case if you are coming from Pune side here also mention that to take a Khopoli Bound Local from Karjat till Palasdhari.
