Shindawane is a hamlet in Pune District, the station is on the PUNE-MRJ Line. The entire area is hilly and there are numerous rock cuttings around. It is a treat to watch trains come out of tunnels in the Ghats and snaking, curving in between the rock cuttings. The station is also a part of Shindawane Ghats and the natural splendour is worth looking at during monsoons from June-September.
