Tourism tip: The tippu's birth place & Devenhalli fort is about 300 mts and 500 mts respectively in a walking distance to the station. It was here Hyderali was in possession of the fort when his wife gave birth to Tippu. Within 1 to 2 hrs time you can finish of seeing both the monuments. Take YPR-DHL Passenger special and you can take the same train back after seeing these two things as the time gap between the arrival & departure is 1 hr 45 minutes.
