veepulbb 21 blog postsI want to travel from chennai to Tirupathi. Can i i get a seat by getting into the train with a general ticket or will it be very crowded? Another option was to travel by 16057. I ask because its a sudden prog and tickets are in WL on both trains. Moreover i will be coming from Kumbakonam early morning.

Thanks for the reply. I actually meant to convert the General ticket to 3AC/Sleeper only and dont intend to travel by General. So can i expect to find seats? Also, 16057 is a dedicated tirupati train. So what are the chances there?

I have booked my ticket from Danangere to Delhi (Sampark Kranti 12629). I wish to board the train from Hubli. Can i do the same without changing the boarding point? I ask this because i remember reading somewhere that one can board the train at the immediate next station and/or within 3 hours without the ticket being allotted to someone else. Can someone please clarify these rules?

But Hubli is the next station. Also, there has to be a provision in case one misses his train, then he can catch the train from next station.

Then as per these rules, you cant even board the train at the last minute, forget next station!!!

Dear All
Today i was trying to book a ticket from Hubli to Belapur(Shrirampur). I always travel by Goa-Nizzamudin link express(17305). To my surprise, they have deleted the station! However this train is attached to Goa express at Londa(12779). This train(12779) still shows the stoppage at Belapur. How can this be possible?

Its highly unlikely that they don't want to give bookings for this station. Its not as if the station is within 100-200 kms!
There's more guys.. i just discovered that even the major stations like Belgaum & Miraj among others have been deleted! Looks like somethings cooking inside Indian Railways!

I did book eventually the way you told. But still, why isn't it allowed? Just curious to know since i booked all these years in the same way.
