I was not able to enter a full name while booking in IRCTC, the name had 16 characters, how to fill in the name?

Enter as much characters that can be entered. E.g. For Ramesh kumar Sinha enter first 16 characters i.e. RAMESH KUMAR SIN.

No. I had written in requisition form MEHTA R BHARATI and the clerk rejected it, saying to write full name. Same was told to others too. But on charts have seen names in such formats (ramesh k sinha). As the rule is to write full name, to be on safe side enter full name with as much characters possible. Can't say when a law abiding TTE can stretch his hands on anyone's collar on this aspect.

Normally there is no problem, but the TTEs ( not all) are in search of an easy prey and this rule of entering full name is new, so many don't know it, though at PRS it is written and the clerks also ask to write full name. Taking the advantage of this new possibly unknown rule TTE can mess with the passenger and the traveller would not want this mess and frustration of proving their identity during thier journey.

Which Southern India City Badly Needed a New Train From Kolkata ?

Jiski lottery nikle, wo ticket upgrade hota hai chahe phir wo CNF ho, RAC ho ya WL ho. Matlab sirf is baat se hai ki passenger ne poora paisa pay kiya ho yaani ki kissi prakar ka concession ka istemaal naa kiya ho.

I have a ticket from LTT to hatia in 12811 in sept2016. But i want to board this train from Kalyan instead. So, will the TTE wait till Kalyan or will he allott my seat to other? It is a Blank Paper Ticket so, I don't think BP can be changed.
Second option is get down from local at Kurla and then travel to LTT. Is it safe b/w CLA to LTT after 10 pm.

Is it possible in BPT? My ticket is Udupi to Hatia with break journey at LTT. First leg is by Matsyagandha express and second by LTT-HTE SF and matsyagandha doesn't go to Kalyan so I doubt my BP of second leg can be changed.

Changed boarding point successfully. Thanks for the advice which provided me great amount of relief.
