The bedrolls are clean and look new, unlike on the last trip when they looked old and dirty.
But no tea or coffee vendor has come this way yet.
Generally in this train have seen them ignoring first and second class, because of low numbers

Long halt at Mangalore. Onboard pantry service in this train is useless. Last week tweeted to rail minister Suresh Prabhu to include pantry car service in this train. The fish curry-rice bought from Mangalapuram station was under-cooked. Bad food alone can make a journey unsavory. Hope some rail authorities are listening.

The rakes in this train are not in the order shown-- reversed. Realized only when train pulled in. Had to run from one end of the platform to the other, dragging my luggage along.
There should be a system in this site to flag off such rake reversals. No announcement at Kottayam station either.
Should have posted this soon after getting in, but I went off to sleep right away.

This is a nice system. What I posted in the Rail Cal app has integrated into my Indiarailinfo live trip blog. Neat!
Am passing through some very scenic areas. But can see little of that from inside an AC coach. If there is a way to redesign these coaches so there is a better view of the outside-- without compromising safety-- it would be great.Am sure with today's technology there would be a way.
Also need an audio announcement system to alert about the next station. AC passengers have a harrowing time figuring out where the train has reached so they won't miss their deboarding point. Wonder why no railway authorities have noticed this so far. This is a chalta-hai mindset carried over fromrom the colonial, PSU era. Passengers need more consideration/thought from the Railways. 20.20 IST. Dinner not yet served. Lousy pantry service. If there is a reason not to take this train, it is the lack of availability of food and tardy pantry services.
