hi
am looking to change my bookings to this new train... very excited to see the video post...to hear the honk before it arrives at KRMI gave me goosebumps.. how was the food? i am a veggie.. so asking to get clarity on how good it is .. does it compare with Rajdhani or does it serve the kinda of stale meals / bad service like Jet air? :)

just went back to your video and watched it again... awesome video... especially the loco reversal etc... very well shot too. I am a new RF and am only starting to understand and learn abt trains ..
but may be you could have also shot the meal(s) pix and the exec coach pix..

no no.. there are cabs / rikshaws and the bike pilots available
the music (some Bollywood song) playing at the start of the video is from the station? 10 years back, we used to take the Mandovi and get off at MAO... the train would reach late evening at KRMI (after 6.30/ 7 pm usually) for a fairly long stopover and this was the only station on the entire KR route to have nice music playing... we would be tired after the whole day journey but somehow listening to the music play at the station with the cool breeze etc would buoy up our spirit. Its been many years since I have been to KRMI station now.. but hearing the music in your video took me down memory lane. Guess some things never change.. :)

most stations do have a bus service but the frequency may not be as good. but if you walk abt 100m to 500m then you can get into a bus and travel as cheap as 8 bucks (min fare) and max of 25 bucks (max fare)... the buses are not that crowded and you get to enjoy the local scenes in the bus (their everyday banter/ jokes).. also share cabs are available and make a quick but less expensive option for those in a rush to reach their destination
how I wish someone would do meal & coach reviews for trains too.... there doesnt really seem much info on the topics on the forum
