I don't think CR will allow this. Because Pune- Mumbai line is already full & no new trains are being added in this section. If u also look at the number if trains introduced in this sector only Pune Bikaner & CSMT Solapur have been introduced.
We can route this through SBC--DVG--UBL--LD--MAO--PNVL as there are no trains from SBC to MAO--PNVL.

Instead, why can't CR plan for Quadrupling Pune Mumbai route??
It has both advantages by introducing new trains as well as running local trains. I believe once Pune Mumbai tracks are quadrupled then itself we can start new trains from Mumbai to Bengaluru, Chennai etc to other places.

SWR need to start one daily train from UBL to MAQ via Londa, Madgaon, Karwar, Honnavar, Udupi, Mangalore.
SR need to look beyond Kerala. People in Coastal Karnataka aren't travelling only to Kerala. Sad to see not even one train from Kalyana Karnataka to Coastal Karnataka.
