Any comments on the Dhanbad Sindri line. I heard the movement is actually the opposite as compared the normal rail movements, the up line is the down line and vice-versa. Any ideas as to why is this ?
Also, there are how many trains plying between this route & any direct trains from Asansol to Sindri?

ON A DELAYED AND DIVERTED TRAIN
Dear friends
I undertook a journey on this train from nizamuddin and mumbai on 28/12/2010 and returned on 1/1/2011.
train going to mumbai was delayed by over thirty hours while on return, it got delayed by over fourteen hours.

train got delayed , there were many cancellations and there were several berths lying vacant.
train was diverted between mathura and nagda stations and took a long route via bina -bhopal(outer)-and ujjain. this diversion was a bit frustrating part of the journey as train was running pretty slow and was stopping at several points in between.
at times, it was made to wait(from 10 minutes to one hour) for passing of other trains .i wonder if this was happening to rajdhani then, what would be happening to other diverted trains!!
however, as usual staff on board was hospitable enough and served passengers with extra meals and snacks.
overall, both of my journeys took around 27 hours to complete, which is 10 hours more than usual.
i hope, this ongoing agitation comes to end soon as this is causing great deal of inconvenience to thousands of passengers on a daily basis.
i hope this information might be of help to some people.
thanks and regards
bharat

I completely emphatise and sympthasize with you.Unfortunately there isn't a solution because of the political setup.Take this, at one end we have foggy weather and the other end we have a bunch of people sitting on rail tracks, in which the govt/authorities have lilttle control over both. The ultimate sacrifice is paid by who ? Well its us, the commuters/passengers.
Heartening to hear the rail staff being helpful, coperative and understanding though. Atleast something to cheer about.
And yes, let's leave this situation as it is and pray to the almighty to save

Guys,
Yesterday i traveled from Hazur Sahib (Nanded) to Mumbai with this train in sleeper class.
Truly talking, .. Worst experience with this journey. i traveled standing from start to end even though i had confirm tickets with me.
There was no single person from RPF to complaint.. TC was also helpless while discussed this matter with him.
Seriously

so u travelled standing from the origination to the destination and your seats were occupied by other passengers even though you had a valid & confirmed ticket.
Oh boy, was the train overcrowded that you couldn't manege to even get them off from your seat??

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
