Not only this particular section but all the sections where instead of infrastructure upgradation,hastily sectional speed is being increased to 130 kmph is prone to such mishaps. But this particular route of SER/ECoR is along the coastline,one of IRs oldest route, surrounded by mineral rich loading sheds. Almost same applies to KGP BSP section too,but pace of third line is much faster than KGP CTC section. This route also faces more passenger traffic,so tactically thirdline or DFC for this particular route should have been planned long ago. But instead of that happening,speed upgraded to 130 kmph which shares the same route with dense freight traffic
