In order to clear the holiday rush during Dasara, South Western Railway will introduce three special services for a limited period.
The special services will run between Mysuru and Bengaluru, and Shivamogga and Shravanabelagola. In addition, the existing Mysuru-Yeshwanthpur Malgudi Express would be extended to Yelahanka Junction.
Train No.06557/06558 KSR Bengaluru-Mysuru-KSR Bengaluru Janasadharan special express will ply between the two cities from October 9 to 21 (13 trips).

more... train will depart from KSR Bengaluru at 8.45 a.m. and reach Mysuru at 11.35 a.m. with stoppages at Kengeri, Ramanagaram, Channapatana, Maddur, Mandya and Pandavapura.
Train No.06558 Mysuru-Bengaluru Janasadharan special express will run from October 10h to 22 (13 trips). It will depart from Mysuru at 12.50 p.m. and reach KSR Bengaluru at 3.45 p.m. The rake will comprise 13 sleeper coaches, 3 general second class coaches and 2 second class sleeper-cum-brake vans.
The second service is Train No.06223/06224 Shivamogga Town-Shravanabelagola Janasadharan Express which will operate thrice a week – Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays - from October 9 to 25.
The train will depart from Shivamogga Town at 6.15 a.m. and reach Shravanabelagola at 11.25 a.m. and will have stoppages at Shivamogga, Bhadravati, Tarikere, Birur Junction, Hassan, Shantigrama and Channarayapatana. In the return direction the train will depart from Shravanabelagola at 1.35 p.m. and reach Shivamogga Town at 7.10 p.m.
Train No.16023 Mysuru-Yasvantpur-Mysuru Malgudi express will be extended to Yelahanka Jn. during the Dussera festival with effect from October 10 and will help passengers arriving from Bengaluru International Airport to commute between Mysuru and Bengaluru.
Train No.16023 will leave Mysuru at its scheduled time of 8.25 a.m. to reach Yelahanka junction at noon. In the return direction, Train No.16024 will leave Yelahanka at 12.45 p.m. to reach Mysuru at 4 p.m.
