Sunita Yadav, a resident of George Town, Bharadwajpuram Colony, had booked a ticket on the Kalka-Howrah Mail (12312) to Howrah. On November 14, 2019, her bag, containing four gold bangles worth Rs. 25,000, a mobile phone, Rs. 9,000, and documents, was stolen during the journey. She filed a complaint with the Government Railway Police (GRP) after the incident. Mughalsarai GRP registered a case on December 8, but the case remained stalled. Sunita then filed a case with the District Consumer Forum on November 17, 2021. The forum awarded an additional Rs. 2,000 to the complainant for inconvenience and other expenses, and ordered the railway to pay the compensation and stolen amount within two months.

Eastern Railway will convert following trains to LHB coaches in FY 2024-2025.
Only Howrah Division Trains are mentioned . 3 trains are intercity with Chair Car facility.

In my opinion railways should make future train sets with this coach composition 6 general class coaches including luggage loading capacity , 6 sleeper coaches , 8 ac class coaches ( which can include third ac or second ac or first ac or can be a mixture of these coaches ) and ( either 1 ac coach or 2 ac coaches can be removed to add pantry car coach and extra luggage coach ) so 6+6+8 total 20 and 2 electric locos ( 1 at front side of whole trainset and 1 at back side of the whole trainset ) so 20 +2 total 22 coaches , so that instead of giving lhb rakes to some trains which runs on a longer path railways should directly convert those mail or express or superfast express trains into these trains sets and cost of making lhb coaches will also be reduced or...

saved due to directly conversion of mail or express train into train sets and rake reversal time of many trains will be reduced wnd cost of doing rake reversal of a train will also be reduced ( due to 2 engine 1 at back side of the trainset and 1 and front side of the train set ) and speed of all trains can be increased (due to 2 engine 1 at back side of the trainset and 1 and front side of the train set ) . Please give your opinion on this but please don't give any argument related to politics so that my post don't get archived.

Or either railways can apply this coach composition in in some upcoming amrit bharat express trains so that we can see that whether this coach composition for train sets will become a successful idea or will become a flop idea.

patrol, RPF officers noticed the suspicious behavior of the suspect, who was carrying a laptop bag. Upon questioning, he couldn't provide a satisfactory explanation for the bag. A search revealed stolen items including a laptop bag, Bluetooth speaker, trimmer, glasses, a watch, gold earrings, two gold rings, a gold fish locket, a silver ring, selfie stick, and documents belonging to Rahul Chakravarty and Sharmila Chakravarty from West Bengal who were traveling in the S-3 sleeper bogie of the 12312 Howrah-Kalka Netaji Express. During interrogation, Amar confessed that he boarded trains posing as a cleaner and stole belongings from sleeping passengers. The RPF informed Sharmila Chakravarty about the recovery of their bag and stolen items and handed Amar Dom over to the Railway Police.

Inspector Pankaj Kumar aur unki team jab platform pe ghoom rahe the toh unhone ek ladke ko safai wala uniform pehne hue shak ki nazar se dekha. Uske kandhe pe laptop ka bag tha. Usse rok kar poochhtaach ki to woh ghabra gaya. Bag ke baare mein sahi jawab na de paye toh uski talashi li gayi. Bag mein train passenger ka chura hua laptop bag, Bluetooth speaker, trimmer, chashma, ghadi, sona ka jhumka, do sona ki angoothi, sona ka machhli locket, chaandi ki angoothi, selfie stick aur passenger ke papers mile. Papers se pata chala ki ye bag 12312 Howrah-Kalka Netaji Express ki S-3 sleeper bogie me safar kar rahe West Bengal ke Rahul Chakravarty aur Sharmila Chakravarty ka hai. Amar Dom se strict poochhtaach karne par usne bataya ki woh train mein safai karne ka bahana bana kar chadhta hai aur sote hue passengers ka saman chura leta hai. RPF ne Sharmila Chakravarty se contact kiya aur unke saman ki baramdagi ki jaankari di. Phir Amar Dom ko Railway Police ke havale kar diya gaya.
