Money can be misused, we never know which migrant is good and who is drunkard. Instead provide them free food, shelter, travel etc.

Right, every migrant wants to avail the free travel offer, instead of staying back. This can be double whammy, migrant state will loose workers and there will not be any activity for next 1-2 year and more tension will be for receiving home states, whether they are able to handle all of sudden such crowd, with free food, shelter, etc. Not to forgot, it is because of home states inefficiency to bring industries or create jobs, many people are wandering state to state for jobs and become migrant.

Good you asked. I am staying at home, sort of home arrest. My area (Thane, Mumbai) is containment area since lock down began. Surrounding areas get barricaded shut, open and shut again. 2 big hospitals within 500m radius were sealed because doctors and staff got infected. Some other buildings, too. A govt. dispensary and a police station are less than 100m away but this curfew like situation is likely to continue for at least a couple of months more. Not that I am tired of it and would venture out.
One vegetable and fruit tempo is arranged by local corporator for our building once a week. Women in masks from each flat go one by one to buy them. Milk and groceries
...
(and medicines to those who depend on them) are home delivered. That's all about outside contact we get.
I wish you and everybody don't suffer any such period in life. For that, people who understand dangers of this virus should contribute by staying home and appealing others to do the same. Irresponsible politicians are making things worst by spreading misinformation among the vulnerable. FYI, presently the worst affected cluster in Mumbai (or India) is Dharavi, Asia's largest slum home to over a million poor and vulnerable.
Sure, offer them free travel to home and spread the virus to hitherto uninfected areas is what you seem to be advocating. You are in good company. Apart from politicians, even Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh is also advocating the same.

This isn't a debate, friend. If they want to go back, they should be allowed to, as safely as possible. And for you to understand, just imagine yourself in one such camp without any money or support in a different state or country. Do quit talking nonsense like they're doing this for free travel or cheap booze and things like that, comes off like your projecting your own tastes and preferences through such virtue-signalling. Peace.

Friend! Peace. Please don't call my opinions as my tastes and preferences. My opinion was for following what is defined in the lock-down. Well, this is a free country and everybody is allowed to express opinions -- for and against.
