I understand your point about the spending habits of people in the Doaba region and their potential interest in a modern train like Vande Bharat. It does seem like the cities of Amritsar, Jalandhar, and Ludhiana would benefit from such a train due to the perceived higher spending capacity of the residents. However, it is also worth considering that cities like Patiala, Barnala, Bathinda, and Firozpur may have a preference for saving money. In terms of travel time and ticket prices, the Bathinda Superfast and Punjab Mail trains have a similar duration to the proposed Vande Bharat route from Delhi to Bathinda via Patiala and Barnala. Moreover, the ticket prices for these other trains, especially in 3rd AC, are likely to be cheaper compared to Vande Bharat. Considering these factors, it is possible that Vande Bharat may not receive as much patronage in Patiala.
