Omkaram is another famous Siva temple very close to Nandyal.
They attract a large number of devotees throughout the year.
Sri Yaganti Uma Maheswara Temple is nearby Nandyal.It has the world's largest Nandi idol.
The devotees believe that the Nandi idol in front of the temple is continuously increasing its size.
As per Archaeological Survey of India
the rock grows at the rate of 1 inch per 20 years (10 mm per 8 years).
Siva, Parvathi and Nandi are the deities worshipped here.
Ahobilam,65 km from Nandyal has the famous temple of Narasimha Swamy,
one of the incarnations of Lord Vishnu.
Nandyal is also the gateway to Belum Caves, mahanandi and Srisailam.
