Ye train 177 km ki journey poori krne ke liye 11 ghante ka samay leti h jisse iski average speed sirf 16 kmph h. Itni kam average speed ki vajah se yatriyo ko bahut dikkat hoti h. Is kam average speed ke 2 main reasons h. pahela ye ki is train ka Balamau Jn. pe engine reversal hota hai aur doosra reason h iska slow acceleration and deceleration. MEMU train in dono reasons ko overcome krke ek sahi aur aaraamdaayak speed me is train ko chala sakti h.
Ye TT tab ka lag rha h jab ye route ka MPS 30-50 k aas pass rha hoga . Ab to ON - BLM route me 80-85 pe trains chalti h.. Inhen new train hi lani chahiye.. with New TT, kam s kam 38- 40 ka avg to mile
Ek bar mai dekha tha Balamau se 98% khali ja rahi thi Sitapur ki taraf
jaisa route hai..i mean na to itna busy hai..aur mps bhi itni kam nhi h..this train can run with a decent TT..its very high time to rationalise its TT..itna ganda TT is region k logon k liye mazak s kam nhi h

Yes, it should. It will increase the revenue and give connection to passengers from MLN section.
True. I believe that CNB-STP line via Balamau is severely neglected and should be developed into a proper branch line. I originally wanted to take a train from Sitapur to Naimisharanya, but due to changes in stations couldn't do so.[ Ultimately, ended up taking the back train from Naimisharanya to Balamau and then another to LKO ].
Also, does anybody has an idea why it stops for 3+ hrs at BLM for loco reversal? That essentially kills the prospect of end to end travel. That destroys the total average speed to an even more pithy 16 kph. Even narrow gauge trains are faster than this then.

Naimisharanya, The place where Worlds 1st Garuda Dev Temple is present.
Legends says Ram, Sita & Laxman went to Sitapur to meet with Gomti Mata. There the Snake Visakth was fighting against Garuda & winning the battle. With Ram & Laxman coming in rescue of Garuda, snake Visakth was defeated. Visakth fled to Lanka with help from Meghnad Indrajeet. Garuda Dev was delighted to have met Ram, Sita & Laxman & offered his aide & help whenever he was needed by Ram, Sita & Laxman. Later during Indrajeet Meghnad causing Naagfansh incident, Garuda Dev came in rescue of Ram & Laxman.

Agreed. Folks do visit this place but mainly via buses from either Lucknow or Sitapur. I took a train from Lucknow to Sidhauli [ the state highway to Naimisharanya cuts right next to the station ] and then had to take two taxis/autos to reach there. Rail connectivity is quite poor to directly reach this place.
