Gorakhpur-Gonda route. The railway is also implementing a pre-non-interlocking system at Domingarh for the third line between Kusmhi and Gorakhpur Cantt. Passengers can call 139 for information on train status. Trains impacted include 04137/04138 Gwalior-Barauni, 04031/04032 Anand Vihar Terminus-Saharsa, 04493/04494 Gorakhpur-Delhi, 05131/05132 Gorakhpur-Bahraich, and more. Additionally, some trains will operate on altered routes, like 02563/02564 Barauni-New Delhi, 02569/02570 Darbhanga-New Delhi, and 15707/15708 Katihar-Amritsar Express. Certain trains will be shortened, with 02575 Hyderabad-Gorakhpur Special and 09111 Vadodara-Gorakhpur Special terminating at Gomti Nagar. Additionally, 15 trains will experience delays of 30 minutes to 3 hours.

This will increase the line capacity and enable the introduction of additional trains to meet public demand. The affected trains include the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Intercity, Gorakhpur-Ashbag Intercity, and several other long-distance trains. Some trains will be diverted via Gorakhpur-Bhadhani-Gonda and others will be diverted via Chhapra-Audahihar-Varanasi-Jaunpur-Shahganj-Ayodhya Cantt-Barabanki. The work is expected to improve train speeds and increase line capacity.

The driver, Ajay Singh, explained that he was going to the Sarayu Ghat in Karanailagunj for his father's funeral when two bikers suddenly appeared in front of his car.
