Very well written,but then good bye would not be the right term,as just the train number is changed. It's the lifeline of the stations it connects!

Which trains have been slowed down? I only see Withdrawal of SF Status, nearly Every long distance train had SF status.
Withdrawal is an indication that the train has been slowed down

What could be the reason Koraput having 5 pfs? Hardly a dozen trains pass through this station.
That's so far a bit of a mystery really, and something for ECoR and Waltair Division to justify. In fact, even until last month when I last visited, station building redevelopment works were ongoing in full swing despite the sheer lack of trains. The two new PFs had come up with doubling works on both KRDL-KTV and KRPU-RGDA lines picking up pace and this led to optimism of new trains being on the cards (add to it the fact that the Railway Minister is also an MP from Odisha) but almost nothing has happened in that direction. All that said, there is a fair amount of freight movement in the area, mostly from Kirandul and Jagdalpur, and also because of the bauxite mines in nearby Damanjodi.
*Train no. of 12801/12802 Purushottam Express is going to change from 01/07/2024 as 18401/18402*

wait for new TT notification. AFAIK 18401 = PURI 20.20; NDLS 05.50 & 18402 NDLS 20.50; PURI 06.20. But not confirmed

For some of the long distance normal express trains, SWR used to charge SF charges in sectional travel (for example MYS SBC sector). This extortion also should be stopped.
May be this train came in this category. Some other long distance trains also becomes Passenger train.
Ex: GTL UBL special became passenger. GTL UBL distance more than 200km - Dude.

12801 is highest revenue generating train. Runs fully jampacked throughout the year. Now if railway does this, railway will only face the loss in revenue. And someone tell me, why 12875 is not de-graded instead of 12801. Even 12875 TT is slower, already having too much halts in central UP due to which its Avg speed is too slow to qualify as SF. Even its priority is too poor having SF category
