Malad Station update after BDTS BVI 6th line construction:
1. Sixth line construction till MDD is completed by using cut and connection method, new Down Slow line and a new PF 1 construction is done. Now a new temporary double discharge platform of steel is under construction, which will be converted to permanent platform subsequently. MDD BVI 6th line stretch will be completed till March this year.

3. Number of platforms have increased to 5 after construction of new sixth line. Existing 1, 2, 3 & 4 platforms have been converted to 2, 3, 4 and 5 respectively. The UP and DN directions of the trains have been changed.

2. The western side booking office is being moved to a new FOB under construction. Twelve-coach local stop markings are visible on the new down slow line (see 4th picture).
3. The number of platforms has increased to five after the sixth line construction. Existing platforms 1, 2, 3, and 4 are now 2, 3, 4, and 5 respectively. Train directions (UP and DN) have changed.
