Last Sunday it arrived JSME around 6.5 to 7 hours late if I'm not wrong was delayed by an hour in SWR later on delay compounded in SCR and SECR.
How can the controllers be held responsible if they are instructed to run freight trains with priority saw a travel video on YouTube in which Pune bound Azad Hind SF got overtaken by freight trains.

It is just pathetic. I really don't understand where they are getting the idea behind running freight trains with higher priority than passengers. Who are these people giving such orders? Is transporting goods more important than transporting passengers now?!
Money my dear friend. Without profits no business can sustain I hope after trains are run with 2SL 2GS and all other AC coaches situation improves as they will generate more profits to Railways.

It is starting to seem like the start of crony capitalism not gonna lie. In America all rail lines are owned by private companies and recently so many rail derailments are happening because of deregulation, because it is an expense. There is a line that shouldn't be crossed when it comes to services and IR is starting to cross those lines already.
But with govt ownership also comes problems of corruption, incompetence, too much political interference, etc. Without privatization we would still be stuck with BSNL, LIC, SBI, etc employee bossing over us.
Capitalism is good we should have more of it but there should be a strong state regulating too and providing required welfare measures too.
Regarding Indian Railways i think more and more private players should be allowed to provide services like catering, cleaning, maintenance, etc. which we already have.

Aur tum hi dekho ki SL coaches ki production kitni Kam hui hai SWR ko toh mil hi nahi rahe hai sirf 3AC, 3ACE aur thode GS coaches mile hain last few months toh kaise LHB karenge trains ko ?

My opinion on VB is that these should replace existing LHB rakes of Shatabdis and incase of Mumbai Goa the Tejas one.
If slot is available increase frequency of existing trains like Goa SK, Vasco Patna SF, etc. also run these with 2 SL and 2 GS if you want. No problem.
These would generate both profits to Railways and beneficial to the common man too.

I want to board the Netravati exp from Udupi which arrives past midnight. I will be at the station around 8pm. Is it safe to be at this station late in the night with family and boarding train which will be halting for about 2min. Concern is that at this time of night coach doors are usually closed from inside. If not opened then we may miss train.
It's safe and no problem about doors I think, but regarding it's arrival at that odd time, do one thing take local bus to Mangalore and board the train from there, if it's comfortable for you.
