Once at Howrah station please travel by the prepaid taxi. Stand right outside the station exit. They have fixed rates and drivers will take the passengers carefully as police notes down the cab numbers. Handover the slip for the driver once you reach your destiny. Believe me it is worth the wait in the queue at Howrah for the prepaid cab. Cheaters and Looters are abundant here.
Witnessed The Same Last Month... As I De-Boarded Gandhidham-Howrah GARBHA EXP At Around 14:30 Hrs.... And Found The Pre-Paid Counter Absolute Empty. Paid The Tariff And The Policeman [ A True Gentleman As A Rare Case As Per Calcutta Standards] Helped Me All The Way Calling The Cabbie & Asking Him Put My Luggage In The Car..........
