Haranahalli can cover many cities and towns and people can easily get train here, Instead of going to shimoga to get Bengaluru Train (16228/16227 and 16205/16206) In Haranahalli , more over Haranahalli Raiway station situated in a city passenger easily get transport facility, near railway station Highway road is their Many buses available. Daily Morning Passengers can travel to different places from Haranahalli (HNHL). Only the thing is One Express and One Intercity train should give a one min Stoppage its enough. I am Attaching the People are waiting to get Mysore Passenger in the morning.

This is how long distance rail routes must be developed; the line must connect 2 major cities through all the possible smaller towns en route and yet, remain straight so that the commuting time between them is minimum. This line, along with Talaguppa - Honnavar, would transform Shimoga into a transit and an economic hub.
This new line is carefully planned to avoid forest area. I have seen Hangal, Tadas, Mundgod and Bankapur. Between Mundgod and Sirsi there is forest cover as you can see in the below satellite image and it has been avoided. Also, I guess it will go from Hangal to Tadas(very close to NH-4) via Konankeri which is equi-distant to both Mundgod(A Taluk place which is midpoint between

Sirsi and Hubli) and Bankapura(A historical place which is just 2.5 km from NH-4).
Drew a map(dont know the exact alignment) for the line to link Shimoga with Hubli, via Shikaripur, Hanagal and Tadasa. It is good to have this line and drop Shikaripura-Ranebennur line. Some smaller places(see map) will get benefited from it.

Bangalore to Hubli via Shivamogga will be easiest and time saving, cost saving route...because from Birur to Harihar if we take it will be around 130 kms. but from Birur to Shivamogga its only 65 kms. so furthur to that major historical places, major towns near to Shivamogga District, Haveri and Hubli District are covered in this scheme.... so better we opt the above said route...for the betterment of the Infrastructure....

Train No. 16228/16227 TLGP to SBC/ SBC to TLGP. In this trains Shimoga people can not get seat. Because Full passengers from Malanad Area Like Sagar, Anadapur. Why don't you give stop Haranahalli (HNHL) Instead of giving Kumsi. Because Kumsi Station Not Having Bus facility and its 3 km from Kumsi. Women can get problem and collection also not happening compare to HNHL. If you give Haranahalli stop People can reach very easily and bus facility also is their and more over Near many cities people can get train easily, instead of going shivamogga here only they get. The Main Cities are Shikaripura, Sowlanga, Honnali, Ayanur. These city passengers going to shimoga to get a trains, Kumsi Stop is their, also they are not utilizing because its for away from city 3 km people should walk in dark night.

People telling Railway is going under Loss. Utilize the proper stations to get collection. Blindly your dept people do the survey. Waste of money and time.
One more thing is in Haranahalli, Railway dept have Huge empty Place (around 75 acre as per village people) to upgrade the station and platform. Kumsi station upgrade is Not possible because loose soil is their. I am Attaching Images. Near Kumsi Station No people have house, hotel and shops, People should get and to reach city its faraway. In Haranahalli Station situated in city Near Highway walkable distance. Bus Facility is good. Please go through this. I hope get solution for this.
Before Bradgate Track Meter Gate Train was running on that time Haranahalli (HNHL) was crossing Point. i am attaching IMG
