* Either the policy be abolished from all classes or continued in all classes.
* Sparing loss making higher class(AC-I) from flexifare and attaching such classes in large number of trains and pampering already over-subsidised classes with special privilege of Combined, Circular & Break Journey Ticket. Guns of IR continue to be trained and firing on hapless middle class(especially ACIII).

Up-gradation is not very common. And up-gradation of a large number of people is even more uncommon. It's not as if a huge horde of people flood the coaches after up-gradation. On almost all occasions, hardly a few individuals get upgraded, which is very small even when compared to the capacity of a single coach.
Saying that it's "Pathetic to the other passengers" is a rather extreme reaction to something trivial that happens on very few occasions. The average passenger would hardly get an upgrade once in several years of traveling. And upgrades across classes tend to happen when demand is particularly low in one class. This is a really trivial thing to feel offended about.

The upgraded passengers are not freeloaders nor are they "unfairly paying less and enjoying more facilities". They just got lucky for once.
Running the train with empty coaches when there are wait lists in other classes would be more unfair to passengers.

its my personal experienced that total of 25 passengers got upgraded to 3A from SL, recently in the month of June 2017

I too got lucky once and got upgraded to 1A in SBC Raj. And on that occasion, practically the entire H1 coach at SC was filled with people who got upgraded to 1A with only 4 people having originally booked 1A. But then, it was the only occasion ever that I had experienced or seen others getting an upgrade. For the most part, the trains I regularly travel by have such huge wait lists that there won't be vacancies for wait listed passengers,let alone people getting an upgrade. Please don't interpret one incident as a general scenario.
And again, the fact that 25 people got an upgrade shows that there was a lot of demand

in SL and no rush in the 3A coaches. Thanks to the upgrade, 25 people were able to get a berth in the sleeper coaches.
What's worse? People not even getting a chance to board the train or feeling irritated with someone who just got lucky, while our own ticket is confirmed and we have a perfectly comfortable journey, not being bothered by the upgraded ones?

You are not going to know who has been upgraded unless you start chit-chat with your co-passenger. :)
So there is no question of being pathetic. Also now a days 3A coaches fill faster than IR coaches, IR has admitted that itself. So there are very little chances of a SL ticket holder being upgraded to 3A. Lastly, please leave this policy for IR's consideration. They wouldn't have adopted it unless they would find it fruitful. Why are you envying people who are getting upgraded?! Think of it in this way that they bought a lottery ticket of say Rs 500 and have got prize worth Rs 1500, you will feel better. :)

I had taken out this ticket of such a short journey because combined journey(BPT) ticket is withdrawn from AC Classes in Indian Railway on implementation of GST by the present government and to be cost effective, i had taken 1st leg of the journey in 3A(i.e. 1737 km) & 2nd leg in SL(i.e. 53km).
Still we pay MORE as compare to previous facilities of BPT though the complete journey is AC class.
Now a days keeps on increasing fare in the name facilities but where is facilities.

The prices these trains really AASUVIDHA to the pocket of the common people. Sometime prices is some than the airlines.
These implementation done when the present government came into the power.
Things are much different in the previous government.
If you travel in any classes the major problem is sanitation and the quality of the food.
Though many food chains are available which deliver food to your seat but here also the story is same.Their charges is really high in comparison with quality and the quantity.
In the name of change nothing really happening its same old story of Unhygienic travel condition.We don't need at present wi-fi or bullet train,we desperately require to improve the existing system.
Looking at the present condition its sounds that even in two decade the future the railway is in dark.If you want to improve you have to improve even the remotest corner of the country not only metros than only a day will come when we will feel proud for INDIAN RAILWAY.
AT PRESENT QUALITY OF INDIAN RAILWAY ARE:-
1. Dirty Compartment.
2. Dirty Sanitation.
3. Dirty Station.
4. Dirty Tracks at the station.
How long does Indian Railway will take to change the phrase
i.e.
Dirt to Clean or Unhygienic to Hygienic.
What we pay the fare for higher class is not worth in comparison with facilities.
