I think this train is a good candidate for upgraded to Duronto. There is no duronto from mumbai to lko. Allahabad has one. I think its high time LKO-MUM should have duronto. Frequency can be increased to bi-weekly with Duronto.

It doesn't looks good decision. Railway taking easy and non-sense decisions. 2AC is very well required. I always prefer 2AC with family since 3AC has become too much crowded. 2AC gives much room to the people and yes senior citizens stand very high chance of getting lowers. Their assumption of people only book 2AC when 3AC is finished is totally crap. Many trains 2AC gets filled first before 3AC. 2AC pax will start moving to airplanes if they doesn't get comfort.
