To facilitate the placement of the concrete structure of the underpass beneath the railway line, train and goods train operations were suspended for 8 hours from Gomoh to Mahuda on May 14th. During this time, the railway line was cut and removed, the soil underneath was excavated using a pocklane machine, and the pre-fabricated concrete and reinforcement steel underpass structure was placed at the construction site using a crane. The railway line was then reconnected, resuming train and goods train operations. Due to the dense population in the Baghmara area, a significant number of people pass through the Khanudih and Teloatand railway gates daily, travelling to Baghmara block and sub-divisional office, Baghmara CHC, Baghmara College, schools, and collieries. Frequent opening and closing of the railway gate due to passenger train and goods train traffic, especially a large number of goods trains, creates significant inconvenience for working people, patients, and school children, hindering them from reaching their destinations on time. The construction of the underpass near Teloatand railway gate will provide relief from the problems associated with the closed railway gate. However, people will have to travel an additional 1.5 kilometers to reach Baghmara market via the underpass. Vijay Sharma, a member of DRCCU, stated that an ROB will be constructed near Khanudih gate soon. The underpass and approach road are being constructed at a cost of Rs. 5.93 crore. The underpass has a height of 5 meters and a width of 5 meters. The construction of the approach road on both sides of the underpass beneath the railway line will be completed soon. Sabita Devi, was treated in Koderma. This incident comes after a similar incident on Saturday where the Tejas Express was also attacked by stone pelters near Khanudih in the Adra division. The Gomoh RPF has registered a case under the Railway Act and launched an investigation. RPF and GRP have been alerted in Gomoh, Koderma, and Hazaribagh.

The budget also allocated funds for doubling the Garhwa Road-Ramna, Dania-Ranchi Road (partial), Ranchi Road-Patratu (31 km), Dhanbad-Sonnagar (291 km) lines, and for constructing a third line between Dhanbad and Sonnagar. Further, funds were allocated for constructing a flyover for down trains in Gomoh, a rail-over-rail bridge between Garhwa Road and Ramna, and a bridge over level crossings in Tetulmari, Gomoh, and Khanudih. A bridge over level crossing 20 at Keswari, replacing the existing gate, is also part of the project. Additionally, funds were allocated for the construction of a bridge over level crossing number 1 between Katrasgarh and Nichitpur, and for the doubling of the Chandrapura-Jamuniatand line, along with multi-tracking between Sonnagar and Andal, and construction of a three-kilometer marshalling yard at Sindri.
