Per train set 4 coach to hone hi chahiye CC ke baki ordinary AC coaches 12 .. total 16 coaches ..
Uske bad 2S ko intercities mei AC metro coaches replace kardega ..
Trains like Shan E Punjab , Jan Shatabdis , Taj etc can then be replaced by Vande Metros !!!

Vande Metro is supposed to cater to a distance of upto 200km.

And as development seems, Vande Metro will cater to a distance of upto 3 to 5hrs and Vande Metro (CC) is supposed to cater to a distance of upto 8-9 hrs.

Let’s see what it really caters , I am more afraid about integration of full proof ticketing system … which may force commuters to travel on ticket in this train … you know the situation of ticket less travellers in North eastern states of Bihar n Purvanchal …

I understand LKO-CNB but Farrukabad? I thought that section is still single line. Either case, not much trains [either long distance or passengers] ply there.

I think this section will be able to afford VM, also if they start VM from a NER station in Lucknow/Prayagraj, a connection with Izzatnagar Division will be established too.

I am a little disappointed with the unnecessary additions like the handrail-like partition in the middle of the entrance doors. This creates hindrances for heavy crowds entering and exiting the coaches. For passengers to hold on to something while boarding and alighting, there are handrails at the edges, which are just perfect.
